Into My Mouth Services for Seniors
IMM for Seniors is a program designed to teach caregivers how to cook nutrient-dense food for the elderly. These sessions address problems common in this population, such as dehydration, constipation, and lack of appetite. The sessions also emphasize the importance of serving a variety of colorful nutrient dense foods, and cover basic sanitation in the kitchen.

The other option is that Drake will shop and cook meals for the client in their home and store them for use that day/week and even put a few in the freezer.

It is Drake’s belief that well nourished older people spend less time in the hospital, have a better resistance to illness, higher energy levels, faster recuperation times, and a more robust immune system.
Chef Drake has a Masters Degree in Social Work and combines her extensive knowledge and experience of the elderly population with a passion for cooking and a desire to make sure they eat delicious nutritious meals.

Hospital delivery is available with this service to some Bay Area hospitals.

Fee: $45/hour plus grocery cost.  Special rates available for caregiver groups.

Into My Mouth for Cancer Patients
IMM for Cancer patients teaches patients or caregivers to prepare foods that build the immune system, are easily digested, help with nausea, and appeal to the changing taste buds of the patient in treatment. This program embraces clients in a positive, motivational way using the healing energy of whole, unadulterated foods.
Again, if desired, Drake is available to do the shopping and cooking for the client.  Included are nutritious broths to sip on and healthy snacks to take to treatments.
In addition to training as a therapeutic chef, Chef Drake trained with Chef Catherine McConkie doing extensive and detailed recipe testing for Rebecca Katz, author of One Bite at a Time: Nourishing Recipes for Cancer Survivors and Their Friends.
Drake has witnessed the effects of cancer at all stages in a large urban hospital setting.  Working closely with the patients physicians she will help customize a health supportive diet with care and understanding.
